DU VC YOGESH TYAGI SUSPENDED BY PRESIDENT

On 28 October 2020, the Vice Chancellor of Delhi University, Prof. Yogesh Tyagi has been suspended by the President of India – Mr. Ramnath Kovind.

This suspension was confirmed on Wednesday(27 October) by the Education Minister. Prior to the suspension, President held a meeting on 27 October 2020 to discuss about the same.

The reason for the suspension as of now has been said that VC made certain appointments earlier which did not comply with the varsity norms.

More clear news about the same is still awaited.
