UPSC Glories: Delhi University Alumni Make Mark in Civil Services

In the latest Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examination results, students from Delhi University (DU) have once again demonstrated their academic journey by securing top positions. The UPSC exam, considered one of the toughest competitive exams in India, saw several DU alumni securing high ranks across various categories.

The UPSC released the Civil Services Exam 2023 results, with two Delhi University alumni in the top five ranks. The exam saw 1,016,850 applicants, 592,141 taking the prelims, and 1,016 ultimately selected for prestigious government positions like IAS, IFS, and IPS.

Standout Alumnis of DU

Among the standout performers is Donuru Ananya Reddy, an alumna of Delhi University’s prestigious Miranda House College, who secured the coveted All India Rank (AIR) 3 in the Civil Services Examination in her first attempt. With her exceptional performance, she has not only brought pride to her alma mater but also served as an inspiration for aspiring civil servants across the nation.

Meanwhile , a Gurugram resident Ruhani, obtained the fifth position, a Noida resident, Wardah Khan, who graduated from Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College, achieved the 18th rank. Additionally, Aditya Srivastava from Uttar Pradesh, Animesh Pradhan from Odisha, and PK Sidharth Ramkumar from Kerala secured the first, second, and fourth ranks respectively.

According to Vice-Chancellor Yogesh Singh, six individuals among the top 25 performers in the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) exams hailed from Delhi University (DU).
