DU Admissions: St Stephen’s declares its admission cut-off

Delhi University’s College St Stephen’s College announced the first cut-off list for the 2016-17 academic session on Saturday with the highest requirement being for English honours at 99% even as the institution received less number of applications this year.

The cut-off for a seat in the Stephen’s English Honours class works out to 99% for Commerce, 98% for Science and 97.50% for humanities, the highest for the subjects on offer at the college.

The only subject that saw an increase of 0.5 per cent was for the BA programme for science and commerce students.

Even for science streams, the cut-offs decreased. Only Physics (honours) saw an increase of 0.33 per cent.

The cut-off for admission to the college remained almost similar to that of the previous year. The college had last year received a record 32,100 applications but this year only 23,500 have been received for the 400 seats.
