IP University cancels exams for intermediate years, exams for final years to be held from July 10

After Delhi University cancelled the examinations of intermediate semester/years, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University releases a notice stating the cancellation of examinations for intermediate year/semester due to COVID-19.

According to the notification released on June 8 by the varsity, stated ” No exams to be conducted for all intermediate semesters/years and their unconditional promotion to next semester/year. The students would be promoted to the next semester on the basis of composite 50% weightage to marks in the previous semester/year only and 50% weightage of marks in internal assessment of the current semester in each subject.”

“Conduct of Pen and Paper exams for final year/semester only : 10th July 2020 (This can be reviewed/amended in view of the prevailing guidelines of the Govt.)” , said the varsity.

The notice also briefed the new steps adopted in accordance with UGC guidelines.

The duration of exams will be 2 hours. The theory exams would be conducted first and labs afterwards. If required, 2 exams can be held in a day. The vivas for projects/practicals will be held via online.

If any student wishes to improve their results, who are promoted on the basis of the “promotion” category, can do so in the succeeding year.
