Delhi’s fashionistas!! Hear up! It is the momentous victory of Delhi based Aditi Arya as ‘ Pantaloons Femina Miss India 2015’ in the dazzling 52nd annual run of Pantaloons Femina Miss India 2015. The winner before tasting the height of success worked as a research analyst with Ernst and Young, Gurgaon and interestingly is an alumnae of Shaheed Sukhdev Singh College of Business Studies. These national pageants have excelled themselves by giving young beauties and talents to showcase their capabilities with the stage being the limitless world to discover the gems of their personalities.
Full of panache, these pageants have been launching pads to several Bollywood divas as well. Such as Sushmita Sen, Aishwarya Rai,Yukta Mookhey, Diana Hayden, Priyanka Chopra, Lara Dutta among others.
It would be wrong to judge these beauty pageants as focusing solely on the outer aspects of women’s beauty but PFMI have gone beyond and carved a niche for itself by bestowing upon the participants a host of other important titles such as Miss Beauty with purpose, Miss Multimedia, Miss Talent, Miss Sports and Fitness among others with highlight the importance of ‘ beauty with brains’and talent to be pre requisite for becoming as it were the ‘ face of one’s country’.
The winner and three runner ups were given the chance to spread their wings globally along with them contesting for several international titles, undergoing rigorous training and mentoring to make their mark felt in a global arena.Such dynamic atmosphere undoubtedly bolsters up the spirit of these divas and make them feel empowered as a woman with the strength to lend their voice to concerns shared by countries/world/ earth.
Du ites buck up! You could too take strides to becoming more than just a fashion icon but a Diva who exudes possibilities for change. After all who does not want to become a global ambassador of one’s country and to be able to make little difference to the world we inhabit. Cheers !
