No. of examination centers at DU
No. of examination centers at DUNo. of exam centers of DU in some places have increased. There were 24 exam centers of DU, now it increased to 27 so that it will prohibit the hostages to the students who are rigorously preparing for entrance exams.
Students face problems due to long-distance traveling mostly in states like UP, Odissa, and Meghalaya. DU had only one center in UP that is in Banaras only.
According to the officials, there were huge no. of demands to increase no. of examination centers in some places. Less no. of centers may cause problems to the DU as well because one of the reasons for Delhi University’s popularity, due to its diverse culture as students take admission not only from Delhi but also from various states.

Places where examination centers of DU establish
New centers are being established at Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh, at Cuttack in Odisha, and at Shillong in Meghalaya.
Although, the mode of examination will be online and likely to be held in the last week of August or the first week of September.
Students from Uttar Pradesh used to face lots of problems as students had come to Delhi NCR to appear in the examination. It might be quite risky during this covid pandemic.
The people representative of Meghalaya also raises the demand to increase no. of examination centers especially in this epidemic, to help to give relief to the students.

Meeting with NTA
DU officials announced that they held a meeting with NTA ( National Testing Agency) to get clear about examination dates. It is clear from the meeting that 5 days are allotted for examinations so that classes could start as soon as possible.

Gandhi Nagar, Amritsar, Banglore, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Delhi-NCR, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Imphal, Jaipur, Jammu, Kolkata, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, Raipur, Ranchi, Shimla, Srinagar, Thiruvananthapuram, Banaras.
Three new centers
Lucknow, Cuttack, and Shillong.
