Delhi University Admissions 2017 : Application Forms expected to release by April 20

Delhi University is planning to start the admission process in the third week of April, a month ahead of the regular schedule to avoid last minute rush. The online registration form for the undergraduate courses is likely to be available between April 20-25. The result of Class 12 of CBSE and other state boards will be out in May.

The varsity had last year moved online for the undergraduate admission process. After registering themselves on DU’s admission portal, the students are required to upload self-attested and scanned copies of their documents after following the instructions and then make the payment online.

In 2016, the registration process started on June 2 and ended on June 19.

Officials said opening the registration process in advance will give enough time to applicants to complete the process. The university had earlier planned to open registration process by March end but the plan could not work out.

“Board results are announced in May end but students can start filling the application form in advance. It will give them time to upload all documents and once the results are announced they can just fill their marks,” a member of the admission committee said.

There will be no entrance test for any new undergraduate courses. The university was earlier planning to start entrance test for some courses like Economics and Commerce but the plan has not materialized.

DU will conduct entrance exam for 8 professional courses only – BMS, BBE, BBA, BTech, BA Humanities and Social Sciences, Bachelor of Elementary Education, Bachelor in Multimedia and Mass Communication and Bachelor of Science in Physical Education.
