Delhi Cheif Minister Clarifies On COVID-19 Beds Availability

Delhi Chief Minister said on Saturday that there is no deficiency of beds for coronavirus patients and cautioned the clinics against dismissing the suspected Covid-19 patients. Affirming that there is no shortage of emergency beds in the national funding to treat Covid-19 patients, Arvind Kejriwal likewise said that the Delhi government will send clinical experts at every private medical clinic to save a tab on the accessible beds for coronavirus patients.

Few days back when Delhi Government claimed that the situation is under control in Delhi hospitals, India Today TV did a reality check on private and government hospitals.

Kejriwal Reaction

Arvind Kejriwal’s reaction came after India Today TV reports. He says that medical institutions are “doing mischief” and they won’t be spared if any patient is sent back.

“We will take strong action against such hospitals and they cannot refuse patients. Some time will be needed to break the mafia who are indulging in it. These few hospitals have political connections but they should not be under the illusion that their political masters can save them,” Arvind Kejriwal said in digital press conference.

Noticing that two or three private emergency clinics in Delhi were denying admission to coronavirus patients and requesting lakhs of rupees for beds, the Delhi CM took a strong and stiff decision against such activities and warned those who are engaged with the “black marketing” of medical beds or utilizing “political associations with spread the inconsistencies”.
