Amidst the lockdown, Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) declared results of class 10. Along with it, results of class 5th and 8th have also been declared. The same was evaluated on the basis of Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE).

Results are declared on the official website of PSEB, pseb.ac.in and indiaresult.com. Further, they are announced on results.nic.in.

Students can go reach the websites, tap on result link, enter their details and check the marksheets. They will get their provisional marksheets, whereas official ones will be available when schools reopen.

The marksheets are to mention, “promoted due to coronavirus”. Since the students were promoted without completion of the exams. Further, the board has passed all the students. The students have been promoted on basis of pre-board exams. PSEB is first board to have come up with this conclusion, whereas the students of Bihar and UP boards had their proper exams. Other boards didn’t have the same luck.

PSEB has not announced the name of toppers yet, meanwhile exams of CBSE is yet on halt.  CBSE has announced that remaining exams would be held from July 1 to July 15. Moreover, the board will probably declare the result in August.

PSEB has further declared result for regular as well as addition students of class 10th. And PSEB will announce the dates of supplementary exam soon. Additionally, PSEB will conduct exams of open school students, a golden chance, improvement, and for additional subjects for matriculation for students of class 10th. These are not covered under critera of CCE.

Last year, the class 10th result was announced by PSEB on May 8, where 85.56% students cleared the exam. The last year exam was topped by Neha Verma. She belonged to Ludhiana.

Due to the widespread of virus, many states have decided to put the exams on hold. They are still deciding on the dates. Furthermore, exams of JEE Main, UG and NEET are postponed too.
