DUSU reaches out to Arvind Kejriwal for PG student’s Special Package.

The Delhi University Students’ Union, or DUSU, and 128 representatives from DU colleges, have requested Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for an extraordinary bundle for the  students of Delhi University (DU).
They have likewise looked for arrangements to help understudies living in leased lodging or as paying visitors.
The Delhi University Students’ Union has asked Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to give a “special package” for the students and defer lease. The DUSU asserts that University students who are living in hostels and PGs since the lockdown are being compelled to pay rent by their landowners. The other students who have left for their hometowns before the lockdown reported that they have been approached to empty their PGs and take their belongings back.
“DUSU alongside the 128 representatives from DU colleges has requested the CM Arvind Kejriwal, through a letter for a special package for the students of Delhi University (DU), and requested for few policies to offer to the students “, an announcement given by DUSU on June 4.
The DUSU demanded for the students who had left for their places that they must be given monetary help by directly transferring money in their accounts.
Akshit Dahiya, President of DUSU, in the announcement stated: “As a solid, capable, and friendly DUSU, we must guarantee that students are not hampered in this circumstance of an emergency.” He further included: “Thus DUSU has spoken to the Chief Minister of Delhi via letter for the arrangement of an exceptional package and expectations that the legislature would bring this into its thought.”
Prior, the Student Tenants’ Union, Delhi, had reported an online campaign against the forceful of payment of rent during the time of lockdown. In a survey, among 1,069 students, 69.3 percent of students said that they are being compelled to pay rent during the lockdown and many are approached to clear the place.
