Every 100 years

“Whenever, righteousness declines and unrighteousness is rampant, I manifest myself.”
Lord Krishna said these above lines which mean that whenever things will go out of control and heinous crimes would increase, he would step down on Earth to give us all a restart.

I don’t know if it is a coincidence or a plan of Almighty. That every 100 years, a global pandemic strikes us badly and makes us understand the true meaning of life. The every 100 years logic holds true with a lot of facts to back it.

Beginning with the global pandemic of 1720

The Great Plague of Marseille (1720-1723): This disease started spreading in Marseille, France in 1720, and killed a total of 1,00,000 people. It was estimated that, up to 30 per cent of the population of Marseille perished due to the plague.

The global pandemic of 1820

The first cholera pandemic (1817–1824): It is also known as first Asiatic cholera pandemic or Asiatic cholera. It began in the city of Calcutta and spread throughout Southeast Asia to the Middle East, eastern Africa and the Mediterranean coast over the time. Hundreds of people died during this pandemic. This pandemic affected almost every country in Asia.

The global pandemic of 1918

Spanish Flu (1918-1920): It is one of the deadliest influenza pandemic humanity has ever witnessed. While 500 million people fell victim to Spanish flu, many indigenous communities were pushed to the brink of extinction. As per estimates, the death toll is put anywhere from 17 million to 50 million.

The global pandemic of 2020

Coronavirus Pandemic (2019-20): COVID-19 is an ongoing infectious global pandemic caused by the most recently discovered coronavirus. The virus was unknown until the outbreak began in Wuhan, China in December 2019. So far, the global death toll from the virus has neared 50,000. The virus can spread from person to person through small droplets from the nose or mouth, as the droplets land on objects and surfaces around the person. When healthy people touch the objects or surfaces and then touch their eyes, nose or mouth they can catch the virus.
