Lost Dream

The fairy that she was,
The fairy only Night knew,
Felt the blues.

As dawn came upon,
And progressed into darkness
She pushed open those wings,
To fly away the blues
But who knew –
As she lurched forward for the sky – she fell.

Tried again and again,
She groped onto the empty sky,
Helpless and desperate
She questioned why?!

But it occurred to her,
It wasn’t a myth after all,
Being a fairy meant happiness all along.

And now that the blues had caught her,
She wasn’t anyone’s muse.

“Wake up angel”, called out her mum
Anxious, she hugged her the tightest hug,
For it was a dream and a reality unimaginable.
