410 Delhi University students demand re-evaluation

The Delhi University on Tuesday decided to waive off the reevaluation fee of more than 400 students who failed in the sociology examination conducted by the varsity this year.

At least 410 students of Delhi University colleges have failed in the examination, triggering protests and sparking allegations of error in evaluation.

The aggrieved students on Tuesday protested for the second day at the office of the Dean of Students’ Welfare (DSW) on Tuesday, alleging discrepancies in result and seeking his intervention into the issue.

The university is seized of the matter and it is getting the collective complaints thoroughly examined and fair play will be ensured to protect the interest of the students,” DU spokesperson and Joint Dean of Students’ Welfare Malay Neerav said.

DU has also decided that the students will not be charged reevaluation fee of 1,000.
